Jennifer Aniston canceled statements about what happened to her career. In a piece released two days later by Allure, the actress, 53, accused another report of self-interest in her partnership with Brad Pitt, 58.

Jennifer Aniston accused her of selfishness in a letter to an article on Wednesday, November 9, that was published by Allure. During that particular interview, the American actress, 53, declared that she ultimately broke up with her now ex-husband, Brad Pitt, due to her own priorities and faults.

“I just cared about my career. And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child,” she shared. “And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies. I don’t have anything to hide at this point.”

According to the Friends alum, the public’s speculations about her private life were extremely hard to bear. I would like to have given anything if she’d said to me, freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor. You don’t really think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed, she added.

The California native had previously been noted for her relationship with participant Brad Pitt, who asked her to be part of a Fight Club in 1998.
